Logitech gaming software g29 settings
Things aren't quite as rough in the Ultima GTR but behavior has been similar for each track. I still haven't found settings for the F3 at Brands Hatch or Guapore where I can just concentrate on driving. Thankfully, the PC setup is much the same, though for complete control you will want to install the Logitech G gaming software first, the 64-bit version weighed in at 90MB. The following settings worked well at Spielberg Historic and some of the other tracks I tried. Braking effects were feint and I was back to lots of feedback for a bumpy track surface. Those settings were not great for the F3 at Spielberg Historic. Rattle for the engine effect was eliminated, and there was a major improvement in feedback for braking and curbs. From there I increased LFB until I was happy with on center feel. I started with 100 gain, 0 LFB and 50 FX then used the in game FFB graph to adjust gain. I tested the F3 at Donington for the first time which ended up being noticeably smoother than any track I've tried before or since in AMS2. As I increased LFB to help with on-center feel, I decreased min_force. I'm not 100% on this, but it seemed like the min_force is affected by the LFB setting. Wheelcheck shows around 3 - 4% minimum force for my DFGT, so I started with 0.04. I'm not concerned with losing the engine effect, so I set it to 0.0. So I set the following in ffb_custom_settings.ini. The custom profile allows reducing or disabling the engine effect and configuring a minimum for low force. Anything higher for FX cause excessive on center rattling for the engine effect and didn't seem to do much for the braking or curb effects. I was getting effects for hard braking and curbs but they were very generic. Previously my best results were with 70 gain, 65 - 70 LFB and 30 FX.

Click OK to confirm the setting and close the Settings window. NOTE: The operating range can be adjusted between 40 and 900 degrees, in 10 degree increments. Change the Wheel Operating Range to the desired degree range. I'm using the recommended Logitech Profiler settings. Navigate to LGS Settings, then click on the tab named G29 or G920. Mainly I was interested in the engine_scale and min_force settings. The custom profile enables settings in "Documents\Automobilista 2\ffb_custom_settings.ini". Yesterday I tried the custom profile after re-reading the beginning of the FFB thread. On the same tracks in the Caterhams or Superkart there's no hint of the surface being rough. It has the effect of both drowning out other FFB effects and making it difficult to drive the intended line with any precision. This is most noticeable in steady state cornering. On most tracks feedback for open wheel cars behaves like the surface is significantly rougher than in the previous AMS version. I have had very mixed results with settings for my DFGT.

In Windowed mode, it restores the centering wheel strength to the configuration value. Thanks for starting this thread. Of course, different hardware setups may yield different results.įinal thought, I run the game in windowed mode because I alt-tab to talk on DMs a bunch, and in fullscreen mode it resets the centering wheel strength to 100% when you alt-tab back in. These settings seem to work fine for me in FS19 1.1.3. Enable Centering Spring in Force Feedback Games On my new PC (FS19), it works correctly with USB 3.0 ports, but not USB 2.0 ports.įor reference, my steering wheel config in Logitech Gaming Software (the config at the top of the wheel diagram) is set to:

On my old PC (back in FS17 days), if I plugged it into my USB 3.0 port, the Logitech Gaming Software didn't update the wheel properly, but a USB 2.0 port worked fine. Try swapping the USB port you have the wheel plugged into. Some various steps I had to try to get it to the "working fine" state:
